Ever thought about being a Mentor? -

    Mariner High School and the Achievers/College Success Foundation are looking for individuals that have the skills and commitment to mentor students. Our Achiever’s program is highly successful with 55% of our students graduating from college within 5 years, compared to 15% average nation wide for this socio-economic group, in large part due to the mentoring they receive. Many of these students are the first in their family to attend college and they need help and insight about being successful in an academic atmosphere. Please consider this 1 year commitment as you assess your community service goals for the year.

MHSAA info -

The MHSAA is a Non-Profit Corporation under 501 (C) 3 as of March 17, 2007.

     I am proud to announce the formation of the Mariner High School Alumni Association. Our goal is to reach, connect and celebrate alumni and friends of Mariner High School and to build lifelong relationships in support Mariner High’s mission. The Mariner High School Alumni Association was created as a non-profit corporation to support the mission of Mariner High School, and to promote in an organized manner the best interests of Mariner High in establishing closer contact between the school and the alumni.

            One of the near term needs facing the soon to be Mariner graduates is funding for college scholarships. Mariner High School has been designated an Achievers High School by the Washington Education Foundation and has received a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The grant will extend to the current 9th grade class. It is our hope that in creation of the MHSAA we can provide funding for talented students lacking the financial resources for post high school education. We have some time and some ideas on how to accomplish these goals. The MHSAA has plans for raising funds from memberships, auctions, merchandise and grant applications.

           We need your help and support as we create an organization deicated to Mariner High School students and alumni. By creating this Web page as the focal point for information and establishing a database of alumni we hope to achieve our goals. At this time we are meeting once a month at Mariner High School during business hours. We are flexible as to meeting times and places. If you are interested in helping the MHSAA, please contact any of the following trustees;
